The Ubuntu version you are using is EOL. Please try this with a

Title:
  ubiquity reports progress of over 100 percent

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete
Status in “ubiquity” source package in Hardy:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I booted up the LiveCD on my VMware Gutsy i386 w/ paravirt. Then, I
  proceeded to Install it using ubiquity.

  The whole installation ran great, then this came up (will attach).

  But, it installed fine. I rebooted and my system was installed, most
  things seemed intact. Curiously, the Install button was still in my
  menu and my sources.list had no repositories except my CD-Rom.
  Otherwise, things seem fine.

  Problem occurs with:
  * Ubuntu Hardy
  * Ubuntu 9.10 <http://www.squarefree.com/ubuntu-install-442-percent.png>
