  installer crashes while downloading packages if network goes down

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  towards the end of the of the install, the last set of packages start to download and in the case of network failure, the installer is unable to recover (let alone retry) and eventually crashes.
  also, during sending of crash report, the password too is included, this is scary.
