Public bug reported:

Testing a reinstall of Ubuntu 12.10 on top of an existing 12.10 install
on my SecureBoot test hardware, I got the following error pop-up:

The attempt to mount a file system with type vfat in SCSI3 (0,0,0),
partition #1 (sda) at /boot/efi failed.

You may resume partitioning from the partitioning menu.

At the time this prompt is shown, sda1 is mounted at /target/boot/efi.

By this point, the install seems to have gone far enough along that
cancelling and retrying no longer gives an option to reinstall - instead
giving only the option to erase the disk and install.

I'll attach a ubiquity --debug log showing this bug.

** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
