  package initramfs-tools 0.99ubuntu13 failed to install/upgrade:
  subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit
  status 1

Status in “initramfs-tools” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  This issue occurred after using the "Update Manager" application to
  apply a complete, system-wide update.

  After completing the update, my system fails to boot with the new
  kernel (3.2.0-32) that was installed by the update. I can still boot
  with the prior kernel revision (3.2.0-32), although I have to manaully
  select it from the boot menu.
