  Fresh install of 20121014, selecting The MAAS option/new MAAS server
  on the initial menu.

  WORKAROUND:

  Do *not* install MAAS via the initial installer selection; install a
  normal server, then, after booting into the system, 'sudo apt-get
  install maas'.
