Actually we do not want to start screen-saver at all, once ubiquity is
running. This is part of the design, as a black screen can be confusing.
So we actually disable the screensaver when running ubiquity, see bug
951336. So there should be no way to activate screensaver. Can you add a
screen / photo where that is visible?

  1. make a usb startup disk, and start to install quantal iso
  2. during the installation progress, click the "start screen saver" button on the top-right corner of the screen
  3. you will find nothing happens. if the button does not function, it should not be displayed there (or it should be disabled)
