Sadly, here too. I just tried to install ubuntu on a HP Tablet PC 2740p, creating 3 partitions (one for OS, one for docs, and another for swap) Crashed the first time, tried it again and after that I'm still not able to start on Windows neither Ubuntu.  I tried with Testdisk but looks there is a problem installing ubuntu with logical partitions in a HD with SFS from Windows.

I just want to say that i'm a Linux user so I didn't had plans to use Win, I left it because of warranty purposes. I will say that Ubuntu can lost a lot of people if this bug is not fixed soon.

  On Ubuntu 10.10.

  On a PC with Windows Dynamic Partitions (SFS), Ubiquity warns the user
  that "Parted can't resize partitions managed by Windows Dynamic Disk",
  but the installation continues, Ubuntu is successfully installed, but
  after installation Windows can't start any more.
