Title:
[dist-upgrade] List of new/removed/upgraded packages does not fit on
  screen

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
On my AC100 (screen resolution 1024x600), the list of changes to the
packages when doing a dist-upgrade to Q expanded below the bottom edge
of the screen. This made it impossible to read the last couple of
lines even if scrolling as far down as possible. It wasn't possible
to make the window smaller, which didn't make any sense because if I
had just been allowed to size down the treeview (the only UI component
with flexible size in the window) there would have been plenty of
  lines still visible.

Also, it didn't seem possible to copy the list to the clipboard, from
whence it could have been pasted into e.g. Emacs where I could have
inspected it (and even searched it) without any worries about entries
  appearing outside the screen...
