[Bug 1071349] [NEW] resolv.conf missing after dist upgrade to 12.10

After upgrading from xubuntu 12.04 to xubuntu 12.10 there was no internet connectivity, however wired and wireless connections were working.
Discovered the file /etc/resolv.conf was moved to /etc/resolv.conf.old

Resulted in system unable to resolve hostnames.

Fixed issue with:
# mv /etc/resolv.conf.old /etc/resolv.conf
# ls -l /etc/resolv.conf 
 /etc/resolv.conf -> ../run/resolvconf/resolv.conf

#grep resolv /var/log/dist-upgrade/*
relevant messages at  [1] and [2]

# lsb_release -rd
Description:	Ubuntu 12.10
Release:	12.10
(note: Recent fresh install of 12.04 on Lenovo thinkpad E335 with addition of apt-get install xubuntu-desktop)

# apt-cache policy resolvconf
