Was unable to installed git via apt-get as a result of this bug.

$ apt-get install git

You might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 git : Depends: liberror-perl but it is not going to be installed
       Depends: git-man (> 1:1.7.10.4) but it is not going to be installed
       Depends: git-man (< 1:1.7.10.4-.) but it is not going to be installed
 libqtgui4:i386 : Depends: libtiff5:i386 (> 4.0.0-1~) but it is not going to be installed
 libtiff4:i386 : Depends: libjbig0:i386 but it is not going to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).

The suggested 'apt-get -f install' fixed this.

$ apt-get -f install
...
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
  gcc-4.6-base:i386 libcelt0-0 libtiff4:i386 libx264-120
  packagekit-backend-aptcc
Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.
The following extra packages will be installed:
  libjbig0:i386 libtiff5:i386
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  libjbig0:i386 libtiff5:i386
0 upgraded, 2 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
5 not fully installed or removed.
