Title:
(liberation) Liberate users from privacy invasion and from being sold

Status in “ubuntu-meta” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Ubuntu has indeed come a full circle from bug #1 to the Amazon search
and all the spanking similar features to give a seamless experience to
the users. Of course, it comes with a huge cost for the users via loss
of privacy and users are being sold. Make such features optional and
opt-in, unlike the opt-out it is currently. Yeah, you own root, but we
own our computers and our privacy. Time to act ubuntu!
