Title:
Failed to create a file system
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
After selecting "Erase Disk and install Ubuntu" and clicking
"Continue", Ubiquity throws the following error:
Failed to create a file system
The ext4 file system creation in partition #1 of SCSI1 (0,0,0) (sda) failed.
Parallel to this, I get a message informing that a volume is mounted
automatically (see #719338, most probably related).
Clicking "OK" to the warning, and confirming that I want to unmount
"partitions in use", I can't still continue with installing.
This is with 20120905.1 in VirtualBox.
