Bug description:
  Binary package hint: consolekit

  Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04.2 i386
  If console=ttyS0,57600n8 is specified on the kernel line in grub then no sessions are set active which disables unlock buttons in users-admin and other apps.  May be related to bug #183673.  Similar report here:
