This is a GTK bug. I'm able to reproduce similar symptoms when
opening/clolsing GTK apps on an installed system using at-spi2 and Orca.
Downgrading GTK3 to 3.16 fixes things so far as no segfaulting goes.

Bug description:
using daily live CD of 12.10 boot up, when you hear the drums press ctrl+s to start orca screen reader
alt+tab to move to the installer window
tab tab to move to the install button and space to press it
ubiquity crashes and offers to run the desktop. Using a mouse to press the button also crashes it.
