What's the alternative? Clashing host names on the local network.
Also why would that be a security risk, given that most of machines installed with ubiquity will be behind a router and thus not directly accessible from wide internet. Thus the attacker already has to get on to the local network first....

Bug description:
Any attacker knowing the Hostname can easily guess the username when
using default ubuntu suggesion. Hostname may should not contain the
username.
