background not displaying got fixed & we switched back to metacity.
Everything should be like totally awesome. =)

Bug description:
  Installing today's daily image to my nexus7, I found that the oem-
  config screen came up with a completely corrupted background (diagonal
  stripes, like something wasn't sure what the stride was).  The oem-
  config window itself rendered perfectly and I was able to install,
  after which the desktop loaded correctly with no further video
  corruption.
