The above error was preceded by the following events:

1.  Upgrade from Ubuntu 11.10 to Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
2.  During upgrade, the following error message was provided and logged:

The upgrade will continue but the 'libxml-libxml-perl' package may not be in a working state. Please consider submitting a bug report about it.
