This error is indicative of a bad media, I try booting the disk and
checking it for errors or recreate it and see if the install goes
better.

  Furing install from an usb-key there is some message about apt-get
  cannot find a cd for additional software .. Installation aborts and
  is incomplete non working..

  This is an Acer aspire one laptop.
