Re #9:  Sorry for the late response. I tested it with the newest version
0.8.16~exp12ubuntu10.10 and it still doesn't work as expected.

  Installing xserver-xorg-lts-quantal as suggested on
  https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/LTSEnablementStack breaks Kubuntu 12.04
  as crucial KDE packages like kubuntu-desktop, kdm etc. will be
  removed.
