[Bug 1173651] [NEW] Grub failed to install

Public bug reported:

Installing amd64-13.04 desktop on new 120.0 SSD at /dev/sdd1. Grub
install failed stating couldn't install grub on /de/sda1. GUI gave me
the oportunity to select other device. /dev/sdd1 was selected twice with
a similar fail after each attempted.
