- Ubiquity installer in 12.10 offers the ability to install Ubuntu in an encrypted LVM. However, the options are only available when replacing an existing operating system.
- If I wish to install Ubuntu alongside another OS, the options become grayed out (see screenshot). If I select "Something else," the manual partition tool does not provide a way to install Ubuntu in an encrypted LVM.
