Title:
cal(1) has wrong default for start of week
Status in “bsdmainutils” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
bsdmainutils 6.1.5ubuntu1. English.
cal behaves always like 'cal -m' ; there seems to be no way to obtain the proper default behaviour, which is of course to make Sunday the first of the week, as in the manpage, in earlier versions of cal, and in ancient usage (for instance St John 20,1).
Happy St Stephen's Day.
John Palmer
