Sorry, but the report was absolutely complete. As stated, the expected
behaviour is that script should have a mode which omits control
characters in the output file. The steps to reproduce are to record
anything with control characters and observe that there are control
characters in the output file. The expected behaviour is that there not
be control characters in the output file when the requested mode is
used.

the output file, which is "not what the naive user expects." Please
add an option which provides the mode of operation the naive user
