Looks like this one is done:
% rmadison apr-util | grep trusty
 apr-util | 1.5.3-1                     | trusty         | source
** Changed in: apr-util (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Fix Released

Title:
  Sync apr-util 1.5.3-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main)
Status in “apr-util” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Bug description:
  Please sync apr-util 1.5.3-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main)
  Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
    * Strip off any garbage before the first part of the DB version, so
      we don't FTBFS when libdb-dev has an epoch, as it currently does.
    * No change rebuild against db 5.3.
  Fixed in debian
  Changelog entries since current trusty version 1.5.2-2ubuntu1:
  apr-util (1.5.3-1) unstable; urgency=low
    * New upstream version.
    * When querying the berkley db version, strip the epoch from the
      version number.
