I'm experincing this in precise 12.04. I'll be rsyncing to the mounted
ntfs-3g external drive, and it will umount in mid trasfer. System load
is 3.00 at this time, and I can even ls at the command prompt.

Only after reboot does my system fully recover from this crash/unmount.

  Confirmed

Bug description:
  * The ntfs-3g crashes regularly, making it unable to access the drive.
  * Only reboot helps
  * What can I do to get it more stable?
  * Seems to be a problem of 12.10!!
  * How can I repair it without reboot?
