Public bug reported:
Log in with correct pw, then ubuntu 11.10 and saucy 13.10 returns to the
login screen instead of desktop. System shows the user is logged in, but
user cannot access own desktop. This first happened on pc, amd-64, using
11.10, finally upgraded to 12.10 and same thing is occurring. Just did a
fresh install of saucy 13.10 to ThinkPad X220, and the same thing is
happening. So both desktops are unusable, can only log in as guest. (If
use incorrect pw, get a red error message saying it's incorrect. If use
correct pw, get the login screen back.)
** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
