Title:
  [Karmic] ldconfig.real empty files

Status in “eglibc” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  After today updates, when I install or remove something via apt-get, when ldconfig.real processing takes place I get this warning:
  ===========================
  ldconfig deferred processing now taking place
  /sbin/ldconfig.real: File /usr/lib/alsa-lib/libasound_module_ctl_arcam_av.so is empty, not checked.
  /sbin/ldconfig.real: File /usr/lib/libpurple-client.so.0.5.6 is empty, not checked.
  /sbin/ldconfig.real: File /usr/lib/libpurple.so.0 is empty, not checked.
  /sbin/ldconfig.real: File /usr/lib/libpurple.so.0.5.6 is empty, not checked.
  /sbin/ldconfig.real: File /usr/lib/libpurple-client.so.0 is empty, not checked.
  ===========================
  Programs install correctly, but this does not disappear.

  I have tried to "dpkg-reconfigure" libasound2, libasound2-plugins,
  alsa-base, alsa-utils, libpurple0 with no success, so I have tried to
  purge and reinstall them, but I still see this warning.

  Some terminal output:

  root at Mycroft:~# ls -l /usr/lib | grep libpurple
  lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root       25 2009-06-09 11:30 libpurple-client.so.0 -> libpurple-client.so.0.5.6
  -rw-r--r--  1 root root        0 2009-06-08 23:46 libpurple-client.so.0.5.6
  lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root       18 2009-06-09 11:30 libpurple.so.0 -> libpurple.so.0.5.6
  -rw-r--r--  1 root root        0 2009-06-08 23:46 libpurple.so.0.5.6
  root at Mycroft:~# ls -l /usr/lib/alsa-lib/ | grep arcam
  -rw-r--r-- 1 root root     0 2009-06-09 03:23 libasound_module_ctl_arcam_av.so
