Public bug reported:

Attempting to install Ubuntu 12.04 LST on an 8GB USB drive; the
autopartition doesn't appear to create enough space to allow a
successful install.

It appears as though the autopartition creates just shy of the 2.4gb
required but allocates 4.5gb (ish) to /home. I can't investigate closer
at this point in time as I don't have a shell or the rest of the UI.

Either way, the expected behavior is that the autopartition would give
itself enough room to install. :)
