This bug affects also Raring Ubuntu Desktop amd64 daily: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/20130214/raring-desktop-amd64.iso.
I booted my laptop: http://wiki.ubuntu-it.org/CarlaSella/HP%20G62%20Notebook%20PC from this ISO and it booted correclty, I was asked if I wanted to install Ubuntu or try Ubuntu.
I booted a VM on virtualbox from this same ISO and it skipped the Welcome window and went directly to live session see attached screenshot.

Bug description:
  When opening an ubuntu 13.04 iso, instead of the installer loading,
  which gives the options for either install or live desktop, the live
  desktop immediately loads, with a colord-sane crash and a ubiquity-dm
  crash appearing.
