I'm sorry, i downloaded this iso from ubuntu, always. with latest unetbootin, i don't use fake, selfmade or else distros that are not from linux directly
i downloaded EdUbuntu directly on EdUbuntu.org
but you told that came from raring pkg
i tried raring a few time before on my desktop, mounting the iso on USB key mouting it with unetbootin and downloaded this one as usualy from ubuntu, but i don't understand how it could happen, i tried different distros AND different USB keys (4, exactly...)
maybe i did wrong when i made USB boot, but i tried many times with
ubuntu 12.04.1/.2, 12.10.... and finally, got bored and tried (even if
bigger) EdUbuntu 12.04.2.
first i thought my efi or quick boot etc bios utilities where the
problem, and finally i looked to the informations up the processing
barre while installing and when installing grub2 stoped and told me the
pkg was broken so i retryed download with unetbootin. but any version
any time did that error, something like
"an error ocured while installing grub2, pkg broken, must stay like that (in french doit rester en l'état)..."
install stopped and reporting,
with EdUbuntu, i was bored and let it do all by itself just to try, and that's been good at first time.
(sorry i really understand en us languages, but don't always use it very well, some french talking like....)
