[Bug 1128090] [NEW] update manager tries to reinstall old version of gtk-gnutella

Public bug reported:

I have gtk-gnutella version 0.98-4 installed. I installed it from the
gtk-gnutella site. Update manager insists that it has a newer version
0.98.2 and keeps offering to install it each day. I think the problem is
that the gtk-nutella developers use the dash in the version number
whereas update manager uses a dot. Since dash is earlier than dot in the
ASCII order, "-4" appears to be earlier than ".2". Would it be possible
for update manager to be made to give equal weight to dot and dash in
version numbers? I think this would solve a very annoying daily task.
