A package became corrupted (likely on your hard disk) when you were
downloading updates.
Feb 22 05:00:16 ubuntu ubiquity: Unpacking linux-image-3.2.0-38-generic-pae (from .../linux-image-3.2.0-38-generic-pae_3.2.0-38.61_i386.deb) ...
Feb 22 05:00:16 ubuntu ubiquity: Done.
Feb 22 05:00:18 ubuntu ubiquity: dpkg: error processing /target/var/cache/apt/archives/linux-image-3.2.0-38-generic-pae_3.2.0-38.61_i386.deb (--unpack):
Feb 22 05:00:18 ubuntu ubiquity: corrupted filesystem tarfile - corrupted package archive
Feb 22 05:00:18 ubuntu ubiquity: dpkg-deb: error: subprocess paste was killed by signal (Broken pipe)
I would either try installing from the latest point release (Ubuntu
12.04.2) or choose not to download updates while installing and see if
that improves the situation. Thanks and good luck.
