The information in your bug report shows that you had no 'splash' option
on your kernel command line when booting. This is the expected behavior
from Plymouth in such a case.
Your command line is also otherwise heavily modified, so I don't see any
reason to think this is a bug in another packer, as opposed to a change
you made. Closing as invalid.

Bug description:
After upgrading the system on the weekend saturday 5.1.2013 and sunday
the 6.1.2012 plymouth is no longer hiding the boot text.
I see here the whole long story on boot.
Unfortunally I can not give a reproducing procedure for this.
A reinstall with
sudo apt-get --reinstall install plymouth
do not change the system behaviour.
