[Bug 1079652] Re: update manager crashes when icon selected from panel

Kinder, gentler bug: I no longer get a crash when I click the icon in
the panel, but nor does the window appear. I can use the right-click
menu to install all updates, but have no idea what I'm installing if I
go that route.

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Ubuntu 12.10, this bug went away for the last few days but now there
  is a regression. If there are updates I get an icon with a number like
  usual. Clicking on it causes it to go away and nothing pops up,
  update-manager has crashed.

  Would use ubuntu-bug but apport is still broken.
