On third run it asked for root permission to install the boot loader,
but it still didn't produce a bootable disk.

Title:
  crashes, file dialog malfunctions

Status in “usb-creator” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
usb-creator crashed on me so I don't know if it finished making my startup disk or not from the 12.10 desktop iso
also on one launch the buttons on the file dialog became unresponsive, neither cancel nor OK would work and I had to xkill.
debian has hybrid ISOs so this is a non-issue, perhaps that's the best solution
