Public bug reported:

cpu-checker is not included in virtual host server installations from
20130120 onwards. Up until 20130118.1 this was part of virtual host
installations.

A d-i syslog from an earlier image (20130118.1) which contain cpu-
checker, a log from the new image (20130120), which does not have the
above package and the preseed file that's used for the installations are
attached.

The raring virt-host seed modified on 19-Jan-2013 ,
http://people.canonical.com/~ubuntu-archive/seeds/ubuntu.raring/virt-
host is different from the quantal version, http://people.canonical.com
/~ubuntu-archive/seeds/ubuntu.quantal/virt-host by having qemu-kvm
instead of kvm in the past.

The daily smoke test for virt-host given in,
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-server-dev/ubuntu-test-cases/server-tests-raring/view/head:/testsuites/virtual-host/test_ubuntu_virt_server/test.py assumes kvm-ok being present in the system and cpu-checker being not part of the installations make the tests to fail on amd64.

It's not clear where exactly the issue is: whether in the virt-host seed
or packaging of qemu-kvm (by not containing cpu-checker). It would help
if the bug is reassigned to the correct package if ubuntu-meta is not
responsible.
