[Bug 889073] Re: pcretest missing from libpcre

Any recent status on this? Have Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS deployed to group of
users working with pcre on daily basis and have had to rework some
procedures temporarily due to lack of pcretest(1). Would like to see it
return to system.

Bug description:
  pcretest is not available on 11.10; it was removed from libpcre3 in
  pcre3 (8.12-3ubuntu1)
  (http://changelogs.ubuntu.com/changelogs/pool/main/p/pcre3/pcre3_8.12-3ubuntu2/changelog).
  There appears to be no package which contains it.

  It should be available.
