Title:
  Ubuntu 13.04 Installation Crashed / GParted can't access SDA partition
  / Ba dsectors on SDA1

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  GParted: Sacnning device: Input/output error during read on /dev/sda
  Hitting ignore will eventually give ma ccess to the partition table and allow me to delete partion, format, design it as bootable.

  Disk Utilities: Disk is OK, 772 bad sectors (33° C / 91° F)
  I tried several times to delete the partition, recreate and reformat needs few try to complete ite but at installation time it systematically crashes ,during files copy if partition defned before installation, when creating partitions if they have been deleted before installation.

  Installing Puppy Linux is working but I would prefer to install Ubuntu
