Still no running system.
This is what I did:
ubuntu at ubuntu:~$ sudo -s
root at ubuntu:~# mount /dev/sda8 /mnt
root at ubuntu:~# mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/boot/efi
root at ubuntu:~# for f in dev sys dev/pts ; do mount --bind /$f /mnt/$f ; done
root at ubuntu:~# chroot /mnt
root at ubuntu:/# grub-install /dev/sda
source_dir existiert nicht. Bitte geben Sie --target oder --directory an
I treid to add the --directory option. I am not sure wether "--directory=/usr/lib/grub/x86_64-efi"
is the correct setting
root at ubuntu:/# grub-install --directory=/usr/lib/grub/x86_64-efi /dev/sda
Fatal: Couldn't open either sysfs or procfs directories for accessing EFI variables.
Try 'modprobe efivars' as root.

installation beendet. Keine Fehler aufgetreten.
I ran the sugested modprobe command:
root at ubuntu:/# modprobe efivars
libkmod: ERROR ../libkmod/libkmod.c:554 kmod_search_moddep: could not open moddep file '/lib/modules/3.8.0-19-generic/modules.dep.bin'
*******************************
After reboot same error:
error: file '/boot/grub/i386-pc/normal.mod' not found
grub resvue>
*******************************
Do I need to delete some old artefacts after/before grub installation?
Any ideas??
Gerald

Title:
package grub-efi-amd64 2.00-13ubuntu3 failed to install/upgrade:
Unterprozess installiertes post-installation-Skript gab den Fehlerwert
1 zurück
Status in “grub2” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
dual boot windows 8 + ubuntu 13.04:
windows 8 preinstalled on dell inspiron 15r se 7520
install ubuntu
run bootrepair disk
-> rund fine, but fan turns on / off, without intermediate speed settings
therefore tried to install new AMD/ATI Catalyst AMD Radeon 7xxM Graphiccard driver ->
xwindows crashes -> reinstall ubuntu
windows 8 was gone (i guess my fault..) ->
recovery of W8
install ubuntu
bootrepair disk ->
ubuntu, W8 dual boot working fine, fan issue not solved yet.
************************
one think that is very strange with this laptop:
cant boot from DVD until I switched to "legacy boot mode" which forces me to turn secure EFI mode off.
(Still using EFI mode)
Internet says I'm not the only one with this issue..
