Closing because this was a question about how to do something
unsupported rather than a bug report.

Title:
  text output

Status in “gfxboot” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gfxboot

  Hi,

My GFXboot gives some text output before the grub loads....

  Grub Loading...

  some text below ...

then it shows the GFX menu ...

  After selection ...
it again goes back to text mode and displays other text...

any chance I can supress the text display and just make it a smooth
transition from gfxboot menu to the os loading screen?
