  package bootchart 0.90.2-8ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade:
  subprocess installed post-removal script returned error exit status 1

Status in “initramfs-tools” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  bootchart failed to update initramfs when trying to install cifs-
  utils.

  I then attempted to purge the bootchart package, but received further
  errors:

  Removing bootchart ...
  update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-3.8.0-23-generic
  cp: cannot stat ‘/module-files.d/libpango1.0-0.modules’: No such file or directory
  cp: cannot stat ‘/modules/pango-basic-fc.so’: No such file or directory
  E: /usr/share/initramfs-tools/hooks/plymouth failed with return 1.
  update-initramfs: failed for /boot/initrd.img-3.8.0-23-generic with 1.
  dpkg: error processing bootchart (--purge):
   subprocess installed post-removal script returned error exit status 1

  I am now afraid to try to reboot. Will there be a problem?
