Title:
  Randomly hanging GnuTLS connections

Status in “rsyslog” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Status in “rsyslog” package in Debian:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: rsyslog

rsyslog < 5.3.6 does not check if a GnuTLS connection is alive before
trying to send to it. If the GnuTLS connection breaks (which
unfortunately seems to happen quite frequently) rsyslog will happily
try to send to it forever consuming a lot of CPU and/or RAM in the
  process.

  This has been fixed here:
  http://git.adiscon.com/?p=rsyslog.git;a=commitdiff;h=3056c15ef4d1d7b73a9591347cf0cef76c020792

  Description:	Ubuntu lucid (development branch)
  Release:	10.04

  rsyslog 4.2.0-2ubuntu8
