  pkgconfig file missing the dependency on pthread

Status in “check” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  configure calls pthread-config to determine what libs to add to
  check.pc, which we don't have in the build depends.  Therefore an
  empty string gets inserted where -lpthread should go.
