There is no problem with the drive.  It is an IDE drive and has worked
flawlessly for over 3years. I have used it since submission of bug, and
formatting, partitioning, and installation of windows and other data
works as expected.

I do not know how to change the status from Invalid back to new.  I have
never been on this forum.

Bug description:
  Tried Installing from USB-HD after creating from Yumi and also from
  Universal.  I can see the trial but it will not install.  I tried to
  install directly using Wubi windows Installer.  It brings down 12.10
  64 bit says it has installed but not booting, nor ca I see any
  installation.  I tried the Ubuntu 12.10 - 32 bit CD and it did not go
  through.
