Title:
Installer finds no hard drives
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I'm trying to install Ubuntu 13.04 (snapshot from today) on a HP
Pavilion Sleekbook 14-b002eo. This computer has UEFI and came with
Windows 8. It also looks like it's using some kind of raid setup by
default.
The specs for the computer simply says that it has a 500Gb 5400RPM
drive but it looks like this is actually a SSD hybrid drive (by
looking at the dmesg). I think this might be the reason for the raid
setup.
Unfortunately the installer can't find any hard drives and just
crashes when I click on anything. I tried booting with "nodmraid" but
this didn't help.
I haven't tried earlier versions of ubuntu as they lack support for
the wifi adapter.
