Public bug reported:
Even when choosing "Other choice" when installing Ubuntu, it is
apparently impossible to install from an iso file located on the same
disk as the destination partition. A message states that the partition
table is to be accessed and modified, even if no such modification is
necessary, as all partitions have been properly set. And even if some
partitions have to be reformatted with a file system different from the
current ones, this reformating does not concern the other partitions on
the same drive.
So Ubiquity should be able to properly install a distribution, even if
some partition on the destination drive remain mounted.
