Testing ISO for Xubuntu 13.04. Clicking on menu entry 'Install all
updates' doesn't do anything. It doesn't seem to matter whether or not
packages require authentication. The only way I can ever get it to
update from this notifier is to click 'show updates' and then install
from the dialogue that appears. I've noticed this in 12.10 as well.

Title:
Menu entry 'Install all updates' does not work, if updates require
  authentication

Status in “update-notifier” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Updating the system with help of the update notifier does not follow a consistent work flow. For a normal user it should work as follows:
  - a notification appears,
  - he clicks on the symbol and chooses 'install all updates',
  - the updates process starts (possibly asking for authentication).

Now consider we have some 'normal' updates and some which require authentication:
  - notification appears,
  - he clicks on 'install all updates',
  - the updates process starts (and installs all 'normal' updates),
  - a notification appears again,
  - he clicks on 'install all updates', nothing happens and
  - the notification keeps notifying.

To really install all updates, he has to choose 'show updates' and in
the appearing window 'Install now'. All very confusing.

I see this (mis)behavior in Xubuntus 12.04 and 12.10 desktop
  installation (update-notifier 0.119ubuntu8.5 and 0.126 ).
