Public bug reported:
The version I am testing in 13.04 is 0.12.1 which by the time 13.04
comes out is about a year old and 5 versions older. I use gparted a lot
as a reason to bring tech users into Ubuntu. Updating gparted in the
default LiveCD image and on the repositories will help, specially in the
changes introduced from 0.12.1 up to 0.15 which I will point to the ones
that would have helped me in many cases I have been through:
* Live tracking of command progress output in the details log
* Move operations are twice as fast as prior versions
* Proper cancel support added
* Volume label length now based on file system type
* Unallocated space is selected by default
* Show difference if partition size differs from file system size
* Avoid end partition overlap when resizing extended partition
* Add LVM PV read-write support
* Fix Linux software RAID device detection
* Fix logical partition grow overlaps extended partition end
And other stuff that helps, but in my case this would be a life saver.
** Affects: gparted (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
