Public bug reported:
I was upgrading acording the normal instructions, from ubuntu server
10.4 lts to 12.4 lts. This is a VPS server hosted in Mochahost, with
Plesk and a cgi called mapserver. Upgrade process marked a fatal error,
that acording instructions need to be reported as a bug.
My server is funtioning, all the sites are online, but Plesk and
mapserver cgi has been erased. I hope these could help some how.
These are the messages, and I attached the log files:

glibc.
The installation of a 2.6 kernel _could_ ask you to install a new libc
first, this is NOT a bug, and should *NOT* be reported. In that case,
please add lenny sources to your /etc/apt/sources.list and run:
apt-get install -t lenny linux-image-2.6
Then reboot into this new kernel, and proceed with your upgrade
