thank you for help so far.

In common it is seen as not so good if someone else than the original
reporter try to provide the requested informations as far as an apport-
collect run is requested(other request are mostly o.K).

Anyway, I have seen your problem and we have already an report for the
/boot size you can find here:

Status in “ubuntu-release-upgrader” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  in the middle of the upgrade i got the messege - "the upgrade will
  continue but the wlinux-image-3.8.0-19-generic package may not be
  working state". and in the white window - "subprocess installed post-
  installation script returned error exit status 2".
